DJ Baby Yoda (aka Lisa Battersby) has been a true house music fan since the late 90s, when some guy introduced her to the music of Sasha, and they sat all night long listening to Northern Exposure and talking about life. She married that man, had a brilliant career in science that drifted first towards acoustics, then music and sound-scaping for virtual reality. She began producing her own music in 2014.
After successfully selling her business in 2019 she set forth to pursue a dream: become a good DJ. So just like everything else she does in life, with fervor, she pursued the goal by studying: she studied more music theory, attended a DJ course in a music school, HUNDREDS of hours on the decks, more studying technique, other DJs, including Sasha.
Before the city closed for the pandemic, she was thrilled to spin at some amazing clubs and restaurants in San Francisco including OMG, Asiento, Great Northern and more.
On June 21st she celebrates 2 years as a DJ, and she’s come a long way since then. She has been a resident DJ for several online radio stations including Beach Radio, Broke FM (guest), First Choice Radio, and The Secret Lounge Radio. She’s excited to announce she is now joining Ibiza Stardust Radio!
She is once again be performing LIVE in San Francisco. Stay tuned: The force is STRONG with this one.
